Who let the dogs out?

Miss Pat's room was filled with some cute dalmatian pups on Friday.  We had a fun day celebrating 101 Days of school.  We played, "Doggie, doggie, where's your bone?"  The day ended with eating some doggie bone cookie treats and watching a movie favorite, 101 Dalmatians.

M is for.....Marshmellow Treats

What fun we have had today making marshmellow treats at school. This is "M" week in kindergarten and we have had a big week doing lots of "M" activities. Earlier in the week we "Mailed" secret love letters to our "moms." Today we made "marshmellow" treats. I was surprised at how few children had ever eaten one, but am convinced that these tasty nibbles will be whipped up in every kitchen over the weekend. They LOVED THEM! Who can resist a good dose of sugar every once in a while?

Look who is in Miss Pat's Class

Take a look at my great class!

God's Word

We have begun to hide God's Word in our hearts. Each week we will have a new Bible verse to commit to memory. This week is "A" week, and our verse is

"All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

We have been talking about the Bible and the fact that it is GOD'S WORD, not man's word. We have learned that God is a Spirit and does not have a body like man.We have learned that God created man in His own image. Man has both a body and a spirit. We also have learned that that our spirit will never, never never die.

Smiling Faces

Today was "picture day" in the pre-school. You have never seen so many smiles, missing teeth, fancy hair-dos and shining faces. We all said "cheese" as if we were little mice and scampered back to our rooms. Coach Burdette saw Miss Pat's class for the first time this morning. The children reported that going to gym was really special. We get to go again tomorrow! Kindergarten is truly the best.

Happy Days

We are off to a wonderful start! My new class is so excited to be back with all of their little buddies after the long summer break. They look like they have grown a foot over the summer and are ready for all of the challenges that kindergarten has to offer. I am privileged to have a lot of younger siblings, faculty children and even the child of a former student...............OH, MY!
